Duann Scott

A foundational education in Industrial Design and an early career in furniture design, public sculpture, retail spaces, interior and exhibition design in Australia. Duann pioneered the adoption of 3D printing and computational design at Autodesk, nTopology & Shapeways.

Currently a teacher at MIT, previously lectured at MIT, NYU, Pratt, School of Visual Arts, Harvard, Parsons New School, Fashion Institute of Technology and more.

His work has been featured in The New York Times, Wired, Vogue, Dezeen, Gizmodo, Quartz, Business Insider, CNN, NY Magazine, Forbes, Bloomberg and more.

Past project clients and collaborators include, Google, Vice, Meta, Victoria’s Secret, Hasbro, Swarovski, The Museum of Art and Design NYC, Nike, Formlabs, HP, Inkbit, Holo, and projects under NDA.

Duann is the Executive Director of the 3MF Consortium and founder of the CDFAM Computational Design Symposium Series held worldwide.
